Reading...

Spent most of the day reading out on the porch enjoying the beautiful weather. Finished the third of four sections of The Botany of Desire: A Plant's-Eye View of the World, which is turning out to be an excellent book. It's written by Michael Pollen, and he looks at how humans and plants have coevolved throughout time. I skimmed a few papers (Identity and Search in Social Networks [use the cypherpunks/cypherpunks trick to login]; and Complex Networks in Genomics and Proteomics). Then I started a second book, Signs of Life: How Complexity Pervades Biology. What a luxury to be able to spend the day like that.
